Questions About Following Your Box

How do I follow my box?

Make a donation through our Follow Your
Box option, to receive a unique shoebox
label with a barcode. You must print this
label and attach a copy to each of your
shoeboxes. The specific barcode on the
label is connected to your email address,
which enables us to scan each shoebox gift
during processing, and notify you of the
destination county of your gifts.

Is there a place I can enter my barcode to
track my shoebox gifts?

No, there is not an area of our website to
enter your label number and “track” the
progress of your boxes. Instead, you will
receive an email from Samaritan’s Purse,
telling you the destination country of your
shoeboxes. After you have attached your
barcode label and taken your shoeboxes to
your local drop-off site, you do not need to
do anything except check your email. Around
the end of the year, you will receive an email
from Samaritan’s Purse, telling you the
destination country of your boxes.

I paid my Operation Christmas Child shipping
donation online, but I have not received an
email telling me where my shoeboxes went.

Special barcode labels are only provided
when you donate through our Follow Your
Box option, and not through the “Donate
Online” section of our webpage. By donating
online through the Follow Your Box donation
page, participants receive a unique shoebox
label with a barcode. You must print this
label and attach a copy to each of your
shoeboxes. The unique barcode on the label
is scanned during the shipment process.
Covering it with tape or damaging it could
affect scanning. If your label is ripped or
separated from the shoebox in the shipping
process, it may prevent us from tracking
your gift.
